CBL Insurance Europe DAC

 Before the recent acquisition by HPS and MDP,  PFP was owned by the CBL Corporation. It was announced on Monday 12th November that CBL Insurance New Zealand (also a subsidiary of the CBL Corporation) went into liquidation. Up until February 18th 2018 PFP policies were underwritten by CBL Insurance Europe DAC which is a separate and different company from CBL Insurance New Zealand. The administrators of CBL Insurance Europe DAC have assured us that policies underwritten by them remain in force. CBL Insurance Europe DAC remains under administration. During the period it has been in administration is has paid claims and there has been no change to that position as a result of the liquidation of CBL Insurance Limited in New Zealand on the 12th November.
